At Montgomery Voice Studio, we are passionate about singing and singers! The mother/daughter team are both accomplished professionals whose combined experience spans the singing world, from the strict academia of opera to the underbelly of touring rock music. Kay Montgomery has earned her reputation as one of the most outstanding voice teachers in the Los Angeles area through over 40 years of experience, worldwide. She had a 15 year run as a college professor of voice in Indiana, spent time as an opera coach at the renownd Strattstheater in Munich, Germany and had a private studio in London, England. In addition to spending many seasons with various opera touring companies playing such roles as Tosca, The Mother in “Amahl and the Night Visitors”, and Madame Butterfly, she spent 8 seasons in Hamburg, Germany in the role of Carlotta in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera” and also served as the in house voice teacher for the cast. Kay works tirelessly to insure that her students are well prepared and has successfully mentored countless students into professional singing careers. Her reputation for landing young students into the nation’s most competitive programs like Julliard, University of Michigan, Carnegie Mellon, Cincinnati Conservatory, Stanford and Pepperdine make her one of the most sought after teachers for young singers.

Anna Montgomery is an international singer and songwriter. With over 25 world-wide releases and five #1 hits in Europe, she is a sought after EDM singer and top line writer. She has released 7 independent records in the US, toured with Grammy winner, Shelby Lynne, and appeared on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show, David Letterman, and the Ellen Show. She currently writes commericial music for Disney Publishing and Pulse Recordings. She is a Los Angeles Music Award winner and recipient of a Los Angeles Women in Music "Comet Award" and can be heard throughout film and television.  She has been teaching music privately for nearly 20 years and her practice includes voice, piano, songwriting and ear training.
